CHRISTMAS SERVING OPPORTUNITY - UPDATE

ANGEL TREE (Prison Fellowship)
1. GIFTS:
SEVEN CHILDREN'S GIFTS for CHRISTMAS -
CONNECT has two families to provide the gifts for children with a parent in prison
(7 total children: 4 children in one family and 3 in the other) .
GIFTS should be around $25. We have angel tree tags with the child's age, sex, and a few gift requests of the child.
Reply to this email ASAP if you would like to purchase a gift (below). Two gifts we already spoken for. There are three remaining gifts to purchase:
NOTE: we have an offer to pay for some gifts, so if you would like to purchase and get reimbursed, you may! We also have opportunities to get something for the moms. WE will deliver to four families, I believe all in PC (TBD). So, possibly four small gifts for the moms, to give them some love and joy. Here are the three remaining children:
- Ky' Mylah, Girl, age 6: Baby dolls, a doll stroller
- La Darius, Boy, age 17: Headset for music, Football, Full size sheets
- Milo, Boy, age 2 Months: Diapers size 2, Baby wipes
- Ayden, Boy, age 12: Football, Basketball,Soccer ball, Wireless Mouse,Twin Sheet set
- Messiah, Boy, age 10; Video Games-Sports, Basketball
2. DELIVERIES: FOUR FAMILIES to DELIVER GIFTS and PRESENT the GOSPEL and hopefully evangelise. delivery times (TBD)
- Groups of two to four people to go to the homes with at least one man in each group
- We are not allowed inside homes, but can stand outside and share the Gospel

Gifts/Present the Gospel and your available times*
AS the time gets closer, I hope to be able to text then talk to the parent before going. It was really helpful last year being able to text first then talk to that mom.
Ideas: Pending the weather and time we may be able to do something outside special for the kids. The Christmas story that Steve wrote is a perfect lead in for the gospel presentation. I think the story holds kids' and adults' attention really well.
Then some Q&A … and an offer to know what the Bible says how we can know if we are going to Heaven. ….
Maybe a short kids game, song, hot chocolate…. This is Perfect Timing to brush up on evangelism now!!!
Father God we praise You for all helpers that are able to participate in the Angel Tree Service Opportunity. WE pray to be able to present the Gospel at each home to folks with open hearts for You Lord. We pray for You to select those of us you want at each delivery and provide us Your Words to say.
WE pray for perfect weather conditions and surroundings, and to plant seeds with a goal of salvation.
WE pray we reflect Christ in thankfulness, that Your light shines through us, not just when things are good, but because You are present and shaping us. Please orient our lives to do your will with joy, love, and thankfulness.
A word of caution, the enemy wears us down to bring us down. This is such a busy time of year. But... how awesome we have a beyond measure, wonderful God. We can RENEW OUR MINDS with the WORD of GOD and PRAYER!!! May you all find PEACE and LOVE in your HEARTS and enjoy God in your lives!!!!
ACTIVITIES ANNOUNCEMENTS:
We will not have our Fourth Friday Nov and Dec Meetings because both those days immediately following the holiday. But....

WHERE: Washington Oaks Gardens State Park
WHAT: "Holiday in the Gardens" event (live music, food trucks, arts and crafts vendors, and a visit from Santa)
WHEN: December 13, 2025, NOON
Admission is $5 per vehicle, and the event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
