Traditionally, the president-elect arrives at the White House and then proceeds to the Capitol Building with the out-going president.
Around or after 12 noon, the president takes the oath of office, usually administered by the chief justice of the United States and
surrounded by representatives of all three branches of government. Then, the new president delivers the inaugural address.
