Rules:  Parade Rules

  1. For safety and clean-up reasons, the City of Flagler Beach and the Flagler Beach Police Department bans the throwing of anything from moving vehicles. Candy may be handed out. But, please, no flyers, postcards, brochures, or literature.
  2. No parade unit shall discharge firearms, pyrotechnics, noise makers, fireworks, water cannons, squirt guns, water balloons, silly string, etc. during the parade.
  3. Elected officials, candidates running for office and political party clubs are permitted to participate in the parade with the following conditions:
  • Signage shall display name and current office held only.
  • Candidates who do not currently hold an office can display only their name.
  • Signage shall not advertise candidacy in any way, nor shall there be any campaigning along the route for an individual and/or cause(s.)
  • Signage shall not include the words “vote for” or “elect.”

Parking: You are encouraged to park in the church parking lot (marked on the map) and walk to your spot in the parade. The streets are very congested and it will keep everyone safe to minimize traffic. The preferred access points for the parking lot are Flagler Avenue and North 9th Street. (The Daytona Avenue access will be highly congested as it's used for the line up.)
